Happy Easter guys!

This is the time of the year when Christians collectively remember and celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. I'm always excited each time I remember that Jesus died, his tomb is empty and he is ALIVE.

Quickly, Let's dive into what we have for today.


Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he  is  a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV


You need to properly understand that what Jesus did on the cross wasn't a joke or a child's play. On the cross, Jesus paid your debt because he saved; he saved you. To be saved, you need to believe in the finished works of Christ - the completion of redemption. He gave up his life for you, to make death lose it's grip on you. He could have turned his back but his love for you drove him to the cross.

You receive the life of Christ, you do not give your life to Christ because you were dead due sin but the life of Jesus Christ was given to you that you may have life and have it abundantly

Whoosh!

Receiving the life of Jesus gives you benefits like;

●Your sin being erased, you are not subject to sin
●You are reconciled with God through Christ
●Heaven automatically becomes your home
●You become an ambassador of Christ on earth
●You become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
●You live forever! (This makes me excited always)🤸🏾‍♀️💃🏾


When you receive the life of Christ, there's no record of your sin, more like you never sinned. You receive a new nature; the nature of Christ - the nature of perfection.


When Jesus was nailed to the cross, your sins were nailed to the cross with him.
When the veil tore, it tore your old nature.
When Jesus died, your old man died with him and
When he rose from the dead, you(new man) rose up with him.

Meaning?

Your old man was crucified with him and when he resurrected, your new man became alive


For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in  the  likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

Romans 6:5-6 NKJV





If you're yet to receive this new nature, say this with me

Dear Lord Jesus, 
I come to you with an open heart, I surrender myself to you. 
I believe you died for my sins and rose back to life all because of me. 
Thank you for loving me, thank you for dying for me.
Today, I willingly submit myself to your authority. Amen!

Your account has just been credited with a new nature; with a benefit of eternal life!

One of the many things they never tell us as Christian singles is our sexual desire, being "horny". Most people do not want to talk about it, perhaps, it's meant to be discussed by the married folks. Some have termed this wrong, profane and unholy but don't we need to start talking about this more than ever? Being horny simply means being sexually hungry. What do you do when you're hungry? DOES GOD HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR?

The justification of some Christians that God doesn't have a sense of humour strikes me like a thunder. How do you say a God who created man in his image according to his likeness has no humour? If man does have a sense of humour, so does God. Man's sense of humour may have been somewhat corrupted/perverted due to sin but it doesn't change the fact of the discussion matter. For example, God has intellect just like we do, he is creative just like we are, he feels sad just like we do etc but the sinful nature can make us misrepresent the true nature of God. If God has no sense of humour, I think we should question where man got his. Our sense of humour may not exactly be the same because there are some despicable things human find funny that God will not find funny. A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul.
