ALBUM REVIEW: THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM BY DUNSIN OYEKAN
Dunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and recording artist. On Sunday, 17th January, 2021, the Nigerian gospel singer and songwriter, released a new album with 16 tracks titled “The Gospel of the Kingdom” which was gotten from Mathew 24:14. Dunsin Oyekan is known to sing revelations not just ordinary songs, and these revelations are the revelations from the Father for the time and season. As the album was released on Sunday, 17th of January, the first video premiered on YouTube the same day; the video of "YAH"
According to him, "We are living in a time when the Gospel, the good news of what Christ came to the earth to do, how He introduced us to the Love of the Father. The Government and Operations of Heaven is going to be heard to the ends of the earth. This is the Season for the SONS AND DAUGHTERS to Arise and show the world; In Glory, Power and Wisdom what Heaven looks like. In partnership with Christ, we will enact God’s will on earth as it is in Heaven. There are many sounds coming forth from the earth in this season. But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world." (Romans 10:18). The sounds on this album were birthed for this very purpose. The King is coming soon and His gospel must be heard. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14"
There are 16 songs on the album and they are:
This album has a total time of 2 hours 54 minutes and 13 seconds of marvelous worship, expression, confession and excellent fellowship with God. Each song sets you in a different atmosphere ranging from consecration to intimacy to power to identifying your identity etc. Dunsin Oyekan's flavored music is always filled with weighty lyrics and this album is not an exception. The contrasts in mood are very well handled. It has a rousing number that exudes music and sound intensity and Godly bravado. What I like most of all about this album is the energy it gives you. Well, Dunsin Oyekan's songs are known for this. After listening to his songs, more often than not, you feel ready to war with the enemy. The boiling energy from the instruments are quite contagious as well and are an additional effect to the energy his songs bring. This bunch of exciting musical composition brings out a sense of adventure while spending time with God. In my perception, it is a must hear for every child of God.

I am yet to find my favourite because all songs are top tier and I doubt that I'll have a favourite. If you have listened to this album, do you have a favourite yet? Which is it?
